Hailey sweetness

Here is a catch-up on my big girl:

Before her first school picture day

Turkey outfit for yellow day at school. All we could come up with were yellow turkey feathers :)

Enjoying her Friday breakfast date with Daddy. She asked for a donut with "strawberry frosting and sprinkles"

She asked to wear a headband to school one day. It made her look so old!

She is such s great big sister. She loves to make Reece laugh. This day she was playing peek-a-boo over the side of her bed. 

She wanted to help me wrap presents this year! She loved helping with the tape  and tags :)

Then it turned into sword fighting with an empty wrapping paper roll :)

I love this sweet, funny, loving girl! I am so thankful for her humor, love, imagination and all that she teaches me everyday. 

Reece is 9 months

Reece is 9 months old! It is crazy how fast these months have gone. I can't believe he used to be a little 7 pound squishy baby. 

Now he weighs 18 lbs 9 oz (29%) is 28.5 inches long (58%) and his head is 44.5 cm (35%). 

Reece wears 9 month clothes, a size 3 (sometimes 4) diaper and size 3 shoe (when he wears them). 

He has 4 teeth and is cutting 2 more on top. 

This little boy loves to eat. He still gets 2 bottles a day (one in the morning and one at night) and nurses about 3-4 times during the day. He loves almost any kind of food we've given him. Veggies are still his favorite and I would say squash is his favorite veggie. He found a love for Mac and cheese this month and hasn't been the same since. 😀 I think he is over purees and is only wanting to feed himself this week so we are experimenting with more finger foods. He tried taco soup tonight and loved it! I think his favorite snack would be the baby mum mums but he also loves the little crunchies and yogurt melts too. He loves drinking from a water bottle but can also use a sippy cup too. 

Sleep is still the enemy for Reece. He still wakes up once or twice a night and is up for good around 4:30 or 5 each morning. Ryan usually gets up with him and can get him to sleep with him on the couch. Reece still only takes 30 minute naps. I am so hoping this changes soon! 

Little man is SO busy. He is crawling, pulling up, cruising and standing alone. He likes to push his music table across the living room floor and if he thinks you aren't paying attention to him, he will go to the stairs. Reece can climb all the way to the top without missing a beat (only when we are behind him) and can pull down our gate to get to the stairs. He really started to push his cars and trucks on the floor and it makes me smile every time. It is just adorable! 

Reece also started to like being read to recently. He likes the lift the flap books and anything that makes noise. Surprise,surprise... He loves his sister and wants to be involved in whatever she is doing. He also loves to pull her hair 😉 

Reece you are such a sweet little boy and have such a fun personality. Infant wait to see what you get into next!

Fun in the Leaves

While we were in Charlotte a few weeks ago we took some sweet pictures of the kids. Ryan and his mom went on a walk with the kids and Ryan came back and said, "we're going to take some pictures." What?! He never volunteers for pictures. Well when I saw this gorgeous tree, I knew why. We serve such a creative God!

Halloween

We had a blast dressing up and having fun on Halloween this year. Hailey was super excited about her costume and trick or treating.  

She actually got to wear her costume a few times. They had a costume party at school on Thursday and got to have a pumpkin hunt, decorate a pumpkin and go trick or treating to the other classrooms. So fun!

On Halloween afternoon we went to a fall festival at our church but first we had to take some pictures of my cuties!

Hailey was SO excited about the fall festival. She remembered it from last year and kept asking if she could ride the ponies and get candy. 

This was the first year she has done the big slide. It is HUGE. I didn't know if she would be able to climb to the top by herself but she did!

After that Hailey did one of the smaller bounce houses and the obstacle course. Then we went inside for games and candy! 

Reece was just interested in Hailey's glittery skirt. Ha!

Then Hailey got her face painted. She wanted it to be a lion 

By that point Reece was pretty much done and we knew we needed to get home and have dinner before trick or treating with our neighborhood friends so we attempted a family picture then left. One again Reece was only interested in the glittery skirt. ;)

We grabbed some dinner on the way home and then got ready for some fun with our neighbors! Here are all the kids as we attempted a group picture. Ha!

So many little ones! One of our friends/neighbors, Sarah, walked with us to carry Reece and he got a good little nap on her! 

Hailey was really into it this year! She loved running up the driveways, ringing the doorbell and saying trick or treat! 

After we had gone to lots of houses our neighbors opened up their garage, set up some music and a popcorn machine! Hailey loved the dancing!

And not to be left out, Reece had a little party with his "friends". These three were all born within three weeks of each other. 

We had a great Halloween spending time with friends!
