My Boy at 18 Months

Reece turned 18 months old last week so it's time for another update. 

Reece weighs 23lbs 10oz (42%) and is 33.25in tall (78%). He generally sleeps from 7:30pm-5:30am. Occasionally he will sleep until 6 and those are wonderful mornings! He takes one nap for about an hour and a half. If we go somewhere in the mornings he will sleep for about 15 minutes in the car. 

He loves balls. Any kind of ball...but a baseball is his favorite. He loves to practice hitting baseballs with his daddy. 

He is still a great snuggler and loves to cuddle before bed or on the couch. He can also go a million miles an hour. 

He loves his sister and wants to do everything she does. 

Daddy is his favorite person. If he is doing something new or unfamiliar he wants to observe it in daddy's arms until he is comfortable. 

He is a great eater and likes most things. Favorites are probably Mac and cheese and chicken nuggets. Lately he's been really into bananas and raisins. We discovered he loves Caesar salad last week. 

He loves to water the plants each night and has even figured out how to turn on and use the water hose by himself. 

He loves to use tools and working with daddy. 

He likes to watch Elmo, Paw Patrol and Curious George. He thinks he is big stuff when he gets to hold Mommy's iPad. 

He's not much of a talker. He knows tons of animal sounds (dog, cat, fish, lion, cow, rabbit, fire truck) but only really says "mama", "dada", "Haydee" (Hailey) and "hot" (always said as a yell). Mommy will be glad when he starts communicating a little more. 

He's a busy boy and I love to see him learn new things! Happy 18 months Reece Anthony!

Little Ballerina

Hailey gets to take dance classes this year! She is so excited! (And I am too) she absolutely loves her leotard and wears it around the house any chance she gets

The studio she is attending lets you do a trial class so we went a few weeks ago. 

She didn't have her tap shoes at the time but that didn't stop her from having the time of her life 

She may have to work on listening despite her excitement but she can't wait for the regular classes to begin in a few weeks 

And after we for her tap shoes she was nice enough to let Reece try them out too. 

He figured out all on his own to go into the bathroom on the tile floor so they would make noise 

We're ready for the fall fun to begin!

Hilton Head: Family Fun and Pictures

Of course we spent A LOT of time at the beach and pool everyday on vacation. But we did a lot of other fun stuff too! It was so great to have all of our family together. We swam and played at the pool and beach every morning but each afternoon we met for dinner, either out or at one of our condos and then either took pictures after or did something else fun.

These four were so funny! Caleb was too little to be in on much of the craziness but just wait until he is!

Everywhere we went had these huge chess boards. Reece loved them! The "horses" were his favorite piece to pick up and move 

The kids also loved feeding these turtles in the pond at the beach access. 

We had so much fun on our vacation in Hilton Head this year! We are so thankful that we get to experience so many things with family!
