She keeps me laughing

It may only be Wednesday but this little girl has kept me laughing this week.

Monday:
Hailey insisted that George watch us eat lunch.

We were playing in Hailey's room and she found some boots in her closet. She wanted to put them on, so I did and she immediately stood up and said "How cute! Cheese!"

She put this baby teether on her head and said "How cute!" (I guess I say that too much...)

Tuesday:
Looking for "Jumpy Squirrel" out the window. (Jumpy Squirrel is the squirrel on Curious George.)

Wednesday:
Hailey was playing with her bows and found this "tickle" bow. She then tickled me, herself and Abbie with it and then took out the bow that was in her hair and wanted these in.

I'm telling you, her little mind is incredible! She makes me laugh constantly!

Thankful

This morning Hailey and I were getting dressed for church and she wanted to look at her dress in the mirror.

She was looking at the girls doing flips that were smocked on it. Anyways, she was talking about the girls doing "flip flops" and all of a sudden she yelled "Cited! (Excited)." I said, "why are you excited?" She said "Church. Class." She was excited to go to church and into her class to play with her friends and learn about Jesus.

excuse the background. I couldn't miss this moment.
It made my heart so happy to know that she was excited to go to church. I'm thankful for a church that cares about the little ones and takes care of them so well.

On the way to church after this Hailey and I were talking and she said, "Mommy. Church. Jesus." I said, "That's right baby. Mommy's going to learn about Jesus." She said, "Haney. (Hailey) Jesus." I was so happy to tell her that yes, she would learn about Jesus too.

I am thankful.

Kristin's Wedding

On Saturday Ryan's sister, Kristin, got married. She lives in the Dominican Republic so we were extra excited for the wedding and to see her. I didn't get to take any pictures of the wedding because I ended up in the garden looking at flowers for most of it but it was beautiful. It was outside at a beautiful old house.

As soon as we got there, Hailey ran to see Mimi and didn't want to let her out of her sight. She kept taking her by the finger and saying "Go." She just wanted to hang out with her Mimi. She even sat on her lap and fed her cheese-its for part of the ceremony. Mimi was very gracious and even though she was super busy with wedding things, still made time for Hailey.

"Go"

Hailey followed this cat around all afternoon. She terrorized the poor thing who just kept running away from her. But Hailey would get so excited she would yell "Kinny. (kitty) Meow!" and run after it.

It's sad that I didn't even get a picture of Hailey, or us, with the bride and groom. I'm telling you, I was constantly on the move keeping up with Hailey wanting to find the kitty, or see the flowers or the toy ducks in the water. I actually have blisters on my feet because I didn't make the best shoe choice either...

Anyways, one last picture. It's not a good one, but it is of my two favorite people. They were dancing to the father-daughter dance. I love them!

Fun at Grams and Das' house

This weekend we traveled to Charlotte for Ryan's sister's wedding. We were supposed to leave on Thursday night but Ryan had a fierce stomach bug so we ended up leaving on Friday afternoon instead. We were planning for Hailey to take her nap in the car on the way there but little stinker stayed away the whole way. At one point she rode like this for a while.

silly girl
When we got there Hailey had drank so much juice in the car to try and keep herself awake that her diaper was huge and I had to wash her pants. So she had a little snack in just her diaper.

making herself right at home
Then she wanted Julie to read to her. I love that she know remembers people and immediately goes to them, even if she hasn't seen them in a while.

My Mom was on a Sunday School retreat this weekend so Hailey got lots of playtime with Das. She loved how he flipped her over on the couch. Can you see that huge upside-down smile?!

He also let her bounce on the cover of the pool. She thought that was fun!

She got in plenty of climbing too. I walked out of the bonus room for a minute to tell my Dad something and when I came back this is what I saw. Monkey!

And my ever-inquisitive child figured out how to unlock and open the doors. Yes, I said unlock. Good thing they have dead bolts too...

Even though we only got to hang out for one day we had a blast. Next we were on to the real reason for our trip, Kristin's wedding!

Just a Normal Wednesday

It's just a normal Wednesday when Mommy leaves the pantry open and walks upstairs, she comes back down to see this...

It's just a normal Wednesday when we can't leave any of our Sesame Street friends behind when going to the living room.

It's just a normal Wednesday when we have to take them all on a walk before bed.

And yes, it's just a normal Wednesday when we have to change outfits before dinner because we spilled juice all over ourselves. :)

Then and Now

Where did my baby go?!

Dress-up

Last night we were playing in Hailey's room before bath time. She started pulling her hats out of the dresser and putting them on herself, me and her stuffed hippo.

Then she decided to take it a little further and pull out everything she could reach in the drawer and put on a little fashion show for us...

she also figured out how to unzip...

Silly girl! I can't wait for the days of dress-up!
