Boston Mission Trip

The last weekend in August, Ryan and I went to Boston on a mission trip to help our friends who have planted a church there. It was such a great weekend! Not only did I love serving with my husband but I loved serving our friends who are making such a difference for Jesus! 

Hailey wanted us to take Marshall (dog from Paw Patrol) with us so we tried to take pictures to send her with him. This is us on the plane heading to Boston. 

Friday we spent our time passing out door hangers to invite people to a free movie night. Jodi and I also got things together to pack school later that night. 

We had a blast hanging out with Brayden (their son) and so wished Hailey could've been there too. 

Saturday we did some work on the church they meet at. Then got ready for the movie night that afternoon. It was the biggest one they'd had all summer. We handed out 282 bags of school supplies and really had the opportunity to love on the people there. 

Sunday night we got to attend and serve at services for Southcoast Church. A friend and I taught the kids 

It was so encouraging and humbling to think that these kids are learning about Jesus, something that not all people in Boston are able to do because they don't have a gospel teaching church near them  

Monday we got to spend time in the city before leaving. 

The boys decided to have their own "Boston tea party" haha!

That night we headed home. I was ready to see my kids but sad to leave friends too. It was such a pleasure to serve with them and can't wait to see what God uses them to do in the next year. 

End of Summer Fun

Fun on the Farm

We are so blessed to have friends nearby that have a farm. Hailey loves to visit the animals and enjoy farm life...Reece is learning. Ha! 

This picture makes me giggle. She wanted to feed the horses so badly but did this (totally me) when he took the apple from her hand. 

She liked feeding the goats and chickens too!

Then it was time to ride the four wheeler. Reece was hesitant of course, but daddy drove slow ;)

There was lots more to do but we only had time to jump on the trampoline before leaving. True to form Reece needed to be safe in daddy's arms and Hailey jumped like a wild woman.

My Boy at 18 Months

Reece turned 18 months old last week so it's time for another update. 

Reece weighs 23lbs 10oz (42%) and is 33.25in tall (78%). He generally sleeps from 7:30pm-5:30am. Occasionally he will sleep until 6 and those are wonderful mornings! He takes one nap for about an hour and a half. If we go somewhere in the mornings he will sleep for about 15 minutes in the car. 

He loves balls. Any kind of ball...but a baseball is his favorite. He loves to practice hitting baseballs with his daddy. 

He is still a great snuggler and loves to cuddle before bed or on the couch. He can also go a million miles an hour. 

He loves his sister and wants to do everything she does. 

Daddy is his favorite person. If he is doing something new or unfamiliar he wants to observe it in daddy's arms until he is comfortable. 

He is a great eater and likes most things. Favorites are probably Mac and cheese and chicken nuggets. Lately he's been really into bananas and raisins. We discovered he loves Caesar salad last week. 

He loves to water the plants each night and has even figured out how to turn on and use the water hose by himself. 

He loves to use tools and working with daddy. 

He likes to watch Elmo, Paw Patrol and Curious George. He thinks he is big stuff when he gets to hold Mommy's iPad. 

He's not much of a talker. He knows tons of animal sounds (dog, cat, fish, lion, cow, rabbit, fire truck) but only really says "mama", "dada", "Haydee" (Hailey) and "hot" (always said as a yell). Mommy will be glad when he starts communicating a little more. 

He's a busy boy and I love to see him learn new things! Happy 18 months Reece Anthony!
