Reece 15 months

Reece is 15 months old! This kid is ALL boy and rarely stops moving. He weighs 22 lbs 4 oz (43%) and is 31 in tall (44%)
He is wearing mostly 18 month clothes, a size 4 diaper and size 5 wide shoe.
This boy loves food. All kinds of food. There is rarely something we give him that he won't eat. I would say Mac and cheese, cheese sticks, fruit snacks and strawberries are some of his favorites. He is currently on a green grape kick and still loves frozen peas.
He loves to eat with a utensil and is pretty good at it.
Reece is still an awful sleeper taking two 30 minute naps and sleeping from 7:30-5 on a good night. But he is the best snuggler.
He loves his daddy and sister. He can say both of their names. He says "mama" too but it usually means "more". Other than that he usually communicates by screaming and pointing. Grrr. I'll be glad when he learns more words.
He loves playing with his tools
Any kind of ball
And lately, drawing.
He also likes stickers. Every time he puts one on paper, or himself, he always pats it down. Always. And it always makes me smile. :)
Reece would rather be outside than inside and he loves to climb
In fact he often carries the bathroom stool around upstairs to reach things. ;)
He loves to be read to. His favorite books are "Goodnight Gorilla" and "Brown Bear, Brown Bear What do you see?"

This little boy is full of life and he makes me smile everyday. We love you Reece Anthony!

Strawberry Picking Round 2

Last Saturday we went strawberry picking with our Life Group. Hailey was super excited to pick, and eat, more strawberries.
She spent most of the morning picking berries with a friend and her nephew. It was so funny to hear her talking to him, telling him what to do and how to pick strawberries. She can be quite bossy ;)
And this little boy...everytime I looked at him he had a strawberry in his mouth.

After our buckets were full we had to take a few fun pictures.

And I'll leave you with my favorite
Just check out that red stained mouth!

Oh how I love these days with my babies!

And they just keep growing...

These kids just won't stop growing! They keep us laughing and on our toes!

Reece...one minute was standing at the window looking at the birds and eating a strawberry
And the next he had gotten a stick of butter out of the frige and taken a bite out of it!

And he was mad at me!

We've been practicing writing Hailey's name and this day I got her to write it with sidewalk chalk. I know she looks mad in the picture but she really wasn't
She had a blast at one of her preschool friends' birthday party at Monkey Joes. She had never been before and loved it!

And this girl loves to help me bake...or maybe she just like to lick the beaters after I'm done ;)

Hailey's BLAST class sang at church one night. She loves being on stage and watching herself in the monitors. Ha!

Reece loves to use utensils when he eats. It's so funny! This morning he fed himself yogurt.
This one speaks for itself
This is referred to as "Hailey's hole". When she was a toddler and we would take walks she would always stop and sit here. Now Reece loves it too!
And Hailey loves to take pictures with my phone now. She took this one of her dog.
And then asked me to take one of them together. :)
Reece and this wagon...such a little boy
Last one... We were coloring one day and I asked her to write my name. She said, "I don't know how to spell it. Wait a minute!" Then runs into the kitchen and takes these letters off of the fridge. Smarty pants!
These days are going quickly!

Girls Weekend in Tennessee

A few weeks ago my sisters and I flew out to Tennessee for a girls weekend to visit our grandmothers. Friday afternoon Mary Katherine and I flew to Charlotte to meet up with the Julie and catch the last plane to Nashville.
We arrived Friday night and were picked up by our uncle and treated to a home cooked Tennessee dinner. Yum!
When we got to the hotel the adventure continued with Julie being "guest of the day"! Who even knew there was such a thing?!
Our aunt came to hang out that night and we got to stay up late because we didn't have any babies to wake us up early ;)
Saturday morning we got to visit Meme at her new place! It was beautiful! We got to catch up, meet some of her new friends and get the grand tour. It was a beautiful day outside so we spent lots of time in the sunshine!

After lunch we hopped in the car to go surprise Granny! She had no idea we were coming and Patricia had to help us surprise her before the church fish fry. It's safe to say she was totally surprised! We joined her for the fish fry and our cousins birthday party.

We spent the night there. Sunday morning we ate breakfast then hopped back into the car to drive back to Nashville.
We ate another home cooked meal, ribs! My favorite! Then headed to the airport for the trip home. A little ice cream treat ended our trip well. :)
It was such a fun weekend spent with my sisters and visiting family we don't get to see often! I'm ready for the next one!
