Pumpkin Patch

We had this great plan to go visit a pumpkin patch with some of our neighbors and their kids this weekend. They had hay rides, pumpkins and all kinds of fun stuff to do. We were so looking forward to it; and then Hailey had a fever of 102 on Friday. Boo! So we decided that even though she wasn't running a fever on Saturday, we didn't need to have her out around other kids and getting over-tired at the pumpkin patch.

She may not have on her adorable pumpkin shirt because it was too hot, but at least we have a cute chevron pumpkin bow!
Sunday afternoon Hailey woke up from her nap after church and was just cranky. Nothing was making her happy; she wasn't running a fever, just didn't want to do anything. So we decided to brighten the day by running over to a little pumpkin patch not far from our house. It wasn't the one that we had planned to go to before, and it was 80 degrees which made it feel a little wrong to pick a pumpkin, but we went anyways.

Hailey loved it! She just kept walking around trying to pick up all of the pumpkins. We kept hearing "Heavy. Oooph!" It was precious.

She loved these little gourds more than the pumpkins. It was the weirdest thing.

picture taking with the scarecrow didn't go so well

Hailey didn't want to miss any of the pumpkins.

We tried to get a family picture at the end, but someone just wanted to explore. Oh well!

Coloring

I'm trying to do more artsy stuff with Hailey. We're just getting to the point where she doesn't eat crayons so I feel like I can. :) Saturday I went to the dollar store in search of stickers, which she now loves. I found those and a Sesame Street coloring book. Score!

She loved coloring the pictures and asking Mommy to help and had a ball with some stickers. The only problem was she didn't quite get that stickers stick to the paper and don't come off...which created a melt down. Oh well, baby steps.

"Elmo pad"

A few days ago I was in the bathroom putting on my makeup and Hailey came in the room. She saw the iPad in the floor and picked it up and said "Elmo pad". She wanted to play her Elmo game on the iPad. Is is bad she knows what that is called already?!

On the other hand, Hailey is really starting to put words together into semi-sentences. It is amazing to see her little mind work and figure out how to convey what she wants.

Bless You

Yesterday morning before church I was getting ready and Hailey was playing on the ipad in the bathroom with me. I sneezed and Hailey said "bless you". What?! I didn't know she knew to do that. She picks up on everything! She is also saying "welcome" now if you say thank you...

Weekend in Charlotte- Part 2

Sunday morning we went to church with my mom and dad. It was so good to see so many of our old friends and for them to see Hailey!

Getting ready...

still attached to Grams

On the way to church Hailey was making Bear clap for "If You're Happy and You Know It". She was also very tired, can you tell?

Mom took Hailey to the nursery during service because let's face it, my 18 month old can't sit still. She said Hailey had a blast playing with all of the boys in the class. She was the only girl! It was so sweet to see pictures of what she did since I usually don't know.

Making a picture. She loved the stickers!
"bouncing" said Hailey, who saw the picture later on my phone
And of course she found the babies!
After church Hailey and Das played in the garage while we got everything loaded up. I'm not sure who had more fun with this one. :)

Even though it was a quick trip, it was tons of fun!

Weekend in Charlotte- Part 1

A few weekends ago Ryan took a team from our Singles Ministry to Boston to help a church plant that our church is involved with. Hailey and I decided to head to Charlotte for the weekend. She had SO much fun playing with Tucker and Mack this trip. She was completely attached to my mom the whole time and wanted to be with her all the time.

Mack decided to read on his own

Mom took Hailey and Tucker to the park one morning and they had a blast. I think Mom was more tired than they were when they got back!

playing outside at Grams' house. She has to be accessorized!

she loves swinging!

Am i sure I want to do this?!
Here we go!

It's been forever...

Well, only a few weeks really but it feels like it's been forever since I've blogged. It's been crazy around here. We've been out of town on the weekends a lot, getting sick some and just super busy. I know I've missed a lot but I'm going to attempt to catch up.

But first, here are a few silly pics of Hailey from the other day. She decided that she needed to test out all of the baby equipment that we use everyday with Abbie. Silly girl!

Hailey loves Abbie (the baby that I watch during the day) and tries to "help" me do things for her now. She likes to help hold her bottle and burp her all the time. The other day I had just finished changing Abbie's diaper and Hailey walked over, took out a wipe and said "change" and started to "wipe" Abbie. Of course Abbie already had a new diaper and clothes on, but it was still sweet.

And then a few minutes later I see this...

Love my silly girl!
