We finished the kitchen! The before pictures don't really show much. It was just a plain cream kitchen with dated light fixtures and big, ugly gold knobs on the cabinets. We don't really know why, but our appliances are "dalmatian" as we call it, half white and half black. We're going to replace for all one color as they go out.

We painted it a fun yellow. (I like to call it buttercream) This color was found after getting one that we thought was going to be a nice light gold...it was really Tweety Bird yellow. Luckily, Ryan realized it was hideous before even finishing the laundry closet and had me and Mom take it back and get a new color. We also changed out the cabinet knobs and light fixtures. The cabinets have nice new shelf liner in them, (that was a pain!) and we added a few of our fun, red decorations. We still don't have curtains, but those will be created in the next few months.

We might add a few more finishing touches, and definitely curtains but I'd say this is the first room that's "done".
