Weekend in Review

This weekend we traveled to Charlotte, yes again. We had to take some mattresses down and we got to celebrate Ryan's birthday (a few weeks late). Hailey got to ride down with Ryan in the truck and she was thrilled, to say the least. Now every time we go somewhere, she asks if she can ride in Daddy's truck.

We had to run to the mall while we were there and of course to Hailey that means she can ride the carousel. This time she had an extra surprise because Mimi let her ride the train too! She wanted to ride in the "engine" but only the driver was allowed to so she settled for the caboose.

She loved it!
Then of course we had to play with Mimi's toys. This time she found a horse to ride! It was a little too big for her but silly girl still made it work. Her favorite place to play at Mimi's house is on the screened in porch and patio. And we can't forget Bobo watching her. He follows her around wherever we are in the house. They love each other.

That night Rebecca and Pawpaw came over for dinner to celebrate Ryan's birthday. Check out sneaky girl with the cake as we were waiting to sing happy birthday...

Ha! You would've thought we were singing to her with how excited she got during the birthday song and Daddy blowing out the candles.
Saturday morning we went to my parents' house. Ryan said as they drove up Hailey said, "That's Grams' house. See the rocks on it?" (bricks) This girl doesn't miss anything! She got to try her hand out at hammering nails while we were there,
and crazy girl wanted to swim! We didn't let her in at first, but then it got to be like 85 degrees (no joke) so we stripped her down and let her put her feet in...then it went to this
She wasn't fazed at all!
We had a little concert before we left consisting of the ABC's and "Only a Boy Named David" too!
We had a great weekend in Charlotte again! And Hailey and I will be back in a few days!

Side note: Hailey is now obsessed with The Lion King. It is the only movie she has ever watched so my mom got her a Simba. She has.not.put.it.down! Did you notice it in the hammering picture? Well now she wants a hyena, and a hairbrush! She says she wants to brush his hair but she will be careful not to let it bite her fingers. I'm pretty sure the hyenas are her favorite part of the movie. It's so strange to me...I think they're scary. She also says that she needs a piggy bank to save up her money to buy the hyena and hairbrush because she doesn't have enough! Ha! Daddy's lessons on saving are wearing off on her. Das is so proud too!
Here she is snuggling with Simba before bed one night. He now sleeps with her and Hippo.

And Simba had to ride in the car with us to church yesterday too.

Silly girl loves The Lion King! Too bad we can't find any Lion King toys or movies because it's in the Disney vault...Oh well, Christmas is still a few months away...maybe by then...
